Diamond Certification

Trusted Certified Diamond Dealer

Purchasing a diamond is a meaningful and valuable investment. To ensure the quality and authenticity of your purchase, it is essential to buy from a certified diamond dealer and receive the necessary documentation to verify the authenticity of the diamond.

Authenticity & Grading

A diamond certificate, also known as a diamond grading report, is an expert assessment of a diamond’s key characteristics. Issued by a professional gemological laboratory, this document provides a detailed evaluation of a diamond’s Carat weight, Colour, Clarity, and Cut, allowing you to make an informed and confident purchase.

While a diamond certificate does not determine the monetary value of a diamond (that would be a separate valuation), it verifies its authenticity using globally recognised grading standards. Both natural and lab-grown diamonds are assessed using the same rigorous criteria.

Certified Quality You Can Trust

Whether you’re purchasing loose diamonds or a custom jewellery piece, always ensure certification is provided. This ensures transparency and provides you with peace of mind when making your selection.

At Cranstone Custom Jewellery, all our diamonds are certified by leading gemological institutions, including:

  • Gemmological Institute of America (GIA)
  • International Gemological Institute (IGI)
  • Gem Certification & Assurance Lab (GCAL)
  • Diamond High Council of Belgium (HRD)
  • American Gem Society Laboratories™ (AGS)

Diamond Grading Report

For all loose, natural diamonds weighing 0.15 carats or more, a grading report is issued. This document details the four C’s and includes a visual representation of clarity and proportions through a plotted diagram.
